Mindfulness is a practice that allows you to develop a heightened state of awareness in the present. It promotes objectivity and encourages you to accept what is without judgment or reactivity.
Meditation is a form of mindfulness that can be practiced in many different ways.
These include :
Guided/ unguided
Focused attention
Body scan
Visualising
Reflection
Loving kindess
Your thoughts are not facts but if left unmanaged your body will react as if they are.
Science has demonstrated that our thoughts have a very really physical impact on the brain. Your brain, intern, influences your body which is how many symptoms of distress will present. Meditation is one way in which we can regain control of our mind and body, using mind management as a tool to influence emotions/mood.
